Transport:

Dubbo is located in the central west of NSW, 400km north-west of Sydney.

There are a number of transport options when travelling to Dubbo:

Car:

FROM SYDNEY / Travel over the Blue Mountains to Lithgow. From Lithgow there are two options; either drive north via Mudgee and Gulgong (396km) or head west via Bathurst and Orange (408km)

FROM CANBERRA / Travel north via Yass, Cowra, Canowindra and Molong (403km)

FROM MELBOURNE / Travel along the Newell Highway via Shepparton, Narrandera, West Wyalong and Parkes (829km)

FROM BRISBANE / Travel along the Newell Highway via Goondiwindi, Moree and Narrabri. (854km)

FROM ADELAIDE / Travel east on the Barrier Highway via Broken Hill, Wilcannia, Cobar and Nyngan. (1271km)

Plane:

Dubbo is serviced by QantasLink and Rex with regular direct flights to/from Sydney. The flying time is 70 minutes.

Fly Corporate also offers direct flights from Melbourne and Brisbane directly to Dubbo. These flights are less regular than those to Sydney.

Train:

Dubbo railway station lies on the Main Western railway line between Sydney and Bourke. Dubbo station is the terminus for a daily NSW TrainLink XPT service from Sydney.

The train departs Sydney’s Central Station at 7:19am and arrives in Dubbo at 1:45pm daily.

The train from Dubbo to Sydney departs at 2:15pm and arrives at 8:42pm daily.
